Further Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007 Integration
People can manage their tasks and monitor processes with the Microsoft Outlook user interface (UI) allowing users to interact with BPM Suite via a familiar desktop application.
Further WSS 3.0 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 Integration
Adding to BPM Suite’s inherent ability to create, store, distribute and reuse documents stored in SharePoint are four new activities that empower process owners to dynamically manipulate content in WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007 lists. In addition, processes can now be initiated based upon Content Type.
Further InfoPath 2007 and ASP.NET Integration
Forms-based workflow is simplified through one-click creation of InfoPath 2007 and ASP.NET form templates that display or update Work Item data.
Other notable enhancements include:
* A new activity to support the dynamic creation of Text, HTML and XML documents
* An enhanced process search capability that flags processes that will be impacted by changes
* Expanded process monitoring filters that facilitate rapid “drill down” to a subset of processes of interest
* Broader SQL Reporting Services integration that can leverage a process to automate the execution, analysis and delivery of Reports on an event or Calendar-driven basis
“The feature set in SP2 is almost exclusively the result of customer and partner feedback,” said Karl Treier, Chief Technology Officer of Bluespring Software. “As we approach the release date of BPM Suite 5.0, this marks the last update to version 4 of our product.”
BPM Suite 5.0 is scheduled for release in early 2008.
