The Hera 3200m was designed following customer’s feedback that a new video compression device was needed in the marketplace that would cover for the diverse needs of multiple broadcasting, video compression and network standards. Customers demand a highly capable and dense solution that goes way beyond the capability of a traditional encoder. To satisfy these needs, Media Excel leverage in-house embedded software and DSP hardware components, to produce 3200m, a transcoder that provides multi-codec, multi-rate inputs and outputs providing broadcast-level video quality and the ability to simultaneously stream video to multiple types of mobile devices, including mobile phones, PDAs and notebooks.
